Patek Philippe’s Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Milan is free to visit through October 18. Its seven limited-edition Milan watches are not: official U.S. prices span $43,761 to $874,200, and production runs range from five to 250 pieces. That makes the exhibition an unusual way to see watchmaking most visitors will never be offered the chance to buy.
Patek says the exhibition is free and open to the public. Registration is required, although on-site registration is available; advance booking is recommended to avoid queues.
The show includes the current collection, museum pieces, Rare Handcrafts, movement and production displays, chiming watches and live demonstrations.

Across the seven references, the announced editions total 685 watches. The pricing ladder reflects more than edition size.
The steel Aquanaut Ref. 5167A-014 is the least expensive of the seven at $43,761.
It is also the largest run, at 250 pieces.
The $47,512 white-gold Calatrava follows at 200 pieces.
Both use the self-winding 26-330 S C movement with date and sweep seconds.
The Milan treatment comes through the colors and case-back inscription: the Aquanaut gets a blue gradient dial with red accents, while the Calatrava gets a white dial with a carbon-like center and Italian-flag details on the strap.
The 100-piece Ref. 7147G-010 costs $137,535 and adds a perpetual calendar. The 120-piece Ref. 5978P-010, despite its larger run, jumps to $337,585.
Patek says the 5978P marks the first time it has combined its manually wound chronograph movement with an instantaneous perpetual calendar, creating the new 500-component CH 29-535 PS QI caliber.
Movement complexity, materials and handcraft matter alongside production limits.
Three Milan references are limited to five pieces each. The Ref. 7047G-010, a white-gold minute repeater, costs $707,074. The two Ref. 5531G World Time minute repeaters are priced at $874,200 each and have cloisonné Grand Feu enamel dials showing Milan by day (012) and by night (013). That is a $167,126 premium for the 5531G despite an identical five-piece production run.
Free public access to the exhibition does not imply a route to buy any of the seven limited editions.
Patek’s public model pages establish the edition sizes and list prices. They do not promise retail availability, allocation or resale value.
List price is not a forecast of what any watch will trade for later. A free ticket can get a visitor close to the full range of Patek’s craft. It offers no assurance of an allocation for any of the 685 limited-edition Milan watches.
