Vancouver Finally Has a Two-Star MICHELIN Restaurant. AnnaLena’s Tasting Menu Is C$178.

Share

Vancouver has its first Two-MICHELIN-Star restaurant. In the 2026 selection announced October 6, AnnaLena moved from One to Two Stars.

Its current tasting-menu price is C$178 per guest, approximately US$125 at the October 6 exchange rate. That makes an interesting comparison with the city’s existing One-Star options: higher distinction does not necessarily mean the highest price.

Restaurant 2026 MICHELIN distinction Menu / format Current listed price
St. Lawrence One Star Four-course Table d’Hôte C$118 on menu page*
Burdock & Co One Star Seven-course tasting menu C$175
AnnaLena Two Stars Seasonal tasting menu C$178
Masayoshi One Star Approximately 20-course table omakase C$245
Masayoshi One Star Approximately 20-course counter omakase C$260

St. Lawrence has conflicting numbers on its own website. The current menu page says C$118, while its reservation FAQ contains both C$110 and C$135 in different sections. Treat C$118 as a posted menu figure, not a guaranteed booking price; confirm the live quote before reserving.

The table is a price-and-format map, not a ranking of food quality. Michelin distinction, course count, and service style measure different things. In particular, the One-Star Masayoshi omakase costs more than the new Two-Star AnnaLena menu.

AnnaLena’s pairing options change the bill

AnnaLena lists three beverage pairings: C$74 spirit-free, C$95 classic and C$195 premium.

With the C$178 menu, the arithmetic becomes C$252, C$273 or C$373 per person, respectively, before any applicable taxes, service or other charges. These are menu-plus-pairing subtotals, not final booking totals.

The restaurant’s FAQ says reservations open 30 days ahead at 9 a.m. Pacific and dining typically takes two to three hours. It also describes dietary restrictions that cannot always be accommodated, so these matter as much as the headline menu price for some guests.

What two stars actually changed

The designation changed on October 6. The comparison shows AnnaLena’s listed menu sits just C$3 above Burdock & Co and C$67 below Masayoshi’s table omakase.

That doesn’t make either restaurant an objectively better deal. It gives diners an evidence-based starting point for comparing special-occasion budgets and experiences without assuming more stars automatically mean a higher bill.

Before booking, check each restaurant’s latest menu and reservation conditions. The prices here are October 2026 site snapshots, and at least one comparator publishes conflicting numbers.
